What does Dodging Tigers mean?

Babies are born with amazing instincts. Those smiles develop so early and make you melt because she knows the best way to avoid being left out for a tiger is to look cute and engaging. She doesn’t know we no longer live in caves – as far as her instincts are concerned, the tigers are circling, and you are the only one between her and them.

As parents, we are always dodging the tigers. We just try to keep our babies safe, and sometimes that means doing our best to resist the urge to leave them outside for the tigers when they just WON’T GO TO SLEEP! Because parenting is hard. We know that, you know that, and there are some days when no smile is cute enough to stop you fantasising about letting those tigers come. We think it is ok to admit that sometimes.

That is the idea behind our group blog. Finding a way through the maze of sleepless nights, nappies, endless products, and somehow keeping ourselves sane and our babies healthy and happy.
